The objects of the service are guided city tours in Hamburg, as well as the coordination and supervision of hospitality services (MK PLUS).

The General Terms and Conditions apply between the client and the provider and are recognized when the order is placed. Deviating conditions of the client are not accepted.

2. Offer and conclusion of contract

Offers, information, information, prices and product statements (e.g. on the website) of the provider are subject to change and non-binding. They shall only become legally binding upon written confirmation. Declarations of acceptance and all orders must be confirmed in writing by the Provider in order to be legally valid. The route, duration, details and characteristics of the tours, as well as services of the “MK PLUS” division and information on the homepage are only binding if this is expressly agreed in writing.

3. Fees and Rates

As a certified guide of Hamburg Guides e.V. (professional association of Hamburg tour guides) I charge their standard prices (incl. 19% VAT):

German 2 hours 180,00 EUR
Additional hour 70,00 EUR
English 2 hours 200,00 EUR
Extra hour 80,00 EUR
Night/early surcharge 40,00 EUR (before 08.00h and after 18.00h)
St. Pauli night surcharge 80,00 EUR (after 18.00 h)

Preparation time (for technical preparations, guest reception, etc.) as well as arrival/departure time to/from starting or finishing points not close to the city centre are considered working time and are charged at an hourly rate.

For journeys of more than 60 minutes, the start of the journey counts as the start of the service provision.

The fee for the services of the “MK PLUS” is based on an individual agreement (depending on the type, duration and nature of the activities).

The prices quoted are inclusive of 19% VAT, unless otherwise stated in the offer.

Additional costs for the customer (e.g. entrance fees, public transport tickets, harbour tours, bus rental) are not part of the offer and are to be handled separately by the customer.

4. Terms of payment / due date

The fees for city tours must generally be paid before the service is provided

Die Anbieterin schickt dem Auftraggeber vorab eine Rechnung, die nach Erhalt und ohne jeden Abzug auf ein auf der Rechnung angegebenes Konto zu überweisen ist.

The provider is entitled to withhold the service if the customer is in arrears with his payment obligation.

Credit cards and EC Card payments are not accepted.

Payments for MK PLUS services are individually agreed.

5. Terms of Cancellation

The client can cancel the booked, confirmed services. The following cancellation costs apply to city tours:

Up to 10 calendar days before the date: free of charge
9 – 5 calendar days before the date: 50% of the total costs
4 – 2 Kalendertage vor Leistungserbringung: 75% der Gesamtkosten
less than 2 calendar days before the date: 100%

In the event of cancellation by the provider, the payment will be fully refunded. However, attempts would be made to find a suitable replacement with a colleague.

For multi-day bookings and services for “MK PLUS”, the terms of cancellation are individually adjusted in the offer.

6. Third party services/entrance fees/transportation

Entrance fees are not included. Tickets should be purchased independently on site. (This does not apply if it was explicitly mentioned in the offer and order confirmation.)

Services and costs for transport (privately organized or on local public transport) are not included in the tour price and are not included in the offer. Public transport tickets must be paid for by the customer themselves.

The provider can recommend private transport suppliers (e.g. bus transfer) and establish contact. The costs must be paid directly to the provider.

The provider assumes no guarantee and no liability for the services of third parties.

7. Waiting time

The tours start promptly at the agreed time. If the group does not turn up or cancels too late, the cancellation conditions apply.

In the event of a delay, the tour will be shortened by the length of the waiting time. An extension of the tour due to a late start is only possible by arrangement and will be charged accordingly.

Possible waiting times at the ticket office for the purchase of entrance fees will be added to the tour time.

If there is a delay of more than 30 minutes, the provider will leave the meeting point.

8. Entering buildings / access restrictions

Some buildings may be entered during the tours. The provider is not responsible for the precautionary measures taken by customers during their time in the buildings. The house rules / general terms and conditions of the respective building operator must be observed and accepted.

Access to buildings will depend on the current availability (e.g. restrictions due to private events, renovations, opening times, etc.).

9. Weather

The tours take place in all weathers. Depending on availability, an interior tour can be carried out by individual arrangement in advance.

In the event of a cancellation by the customer due to weather, cancellation costs will apply.

In the event of a severe weather warning/force majeure, the provider can cancel or abort the tour. Compensation is then excluded

10. Warranty and liability

The provider is liable for the conscientious preparation, accuracy of the service description and provision of the contractually agreed service. Liability is limited to the amount of the agreed fee.

Participation in the tours is at your own risk. The provider is exempt from any liability.

The provider is not liable for services provided by third parties, damages or failures due to force majeure.

The provider is protected by professional liability insurance and the Federal Association of Tour Guides in Germany BVGD The professional liability insurance was taken out with Generali Versicherungs AG Munich. 11. Jurisdiction

The sole place of jurisdiction is Hamburg.
